My sweet, sweet friend Sarah and her wonderful husband Chris have been through A LOT in the past 6+ months. After  Sarah was diagnosed with Leukemia at the age of 27, they knew they had a long road ahead of them. Today, 130 something days after her bone marrow transplant she is in remission and getting better every day! We are all praising the Lord for lots of things- for great doctors and nurses who cared for Sarah, for the wonderful, selfless person who donated their bone marrow so that Sarah could have a successful transplant, and that God has allowed Sarah to be in remission now and continue to get stronger every day. It’s been so encouraging to see how Sarah and Chris have responded with such faith and hope even in such a scary time. I was so glad I got to go walk in Light The Night which is a walk that benefits Leukemia and Lymphoma, and it was so awesome to see Sarah and Chris cross that finish line together after the walk! The next morning after the walk, we got to take some pics to document the end of this season in their life and the start of a new one- the road back to health and recovery! I’m so honored to be your friend, Sarah. Your strength, faith and attitude is so inspiring. I treasure all of our fun memories together and wish we weren’t so far!! Chris, you’re an AMAZING and supportive husband and I know Sarah is so thankful for you. You take such good care of her and I’m so glad that you’ve been by her side through everything.
